WHEN DESCRIBING THE ZEEKR X, it might be tempting to take it out of context.
It has a sleek, futuristic overall design, but you could say that about most electric vehicles. That, after all, is the whole point—to look like they’re heralding a new future in personal transportation.
You could also laud its specs, including a maximum range of 440 kilometres (for the standard rear-wheel drive (RWD) and 420 kilometres for the all-wheel drive. This means it can take you from Singapore all the way to... the beautiful coastal town of Sekinchan in Selangor.
But the Zeekr X was not built to be the best in performance or look avant-garde. Instead, it does several things—the right combination of things, we’d say—really well. Because of that, those who dared to try it—an impressive act in brand-conscious Singapore—found it to be a great car that suited their needs and lifestyles.
In our view, it is a clear sign that China’s rapidly growing EV industry can more than match the European giants.
Size Doesn’t Matters, It’s How You Use It
The Zeekr X is a compact electric SUV that balances sporty aesthetics with practical functionality. Its dimensions, including a length of 4,432 millimetres, width of 1,836 millimetres, and wheelbase of 2,750 millimetres, contribute to its agile handling and comfortable interior. The 191-millimetre ground clearance ensures a good balance between road grip and off-road capability, making it suitable for various driving conditions.
