Carving her Own Path: HINA KHAN

‘THE MEDIUM DOES NOT MATTER, TALENT DOES’ STAND RATHER RELEVANT IN THE LIFE OF HINA KHAN. WHILE IT IS HARD TO SUM UP HER CAREER GRAPH OWING TO THE VERSATILITY SHE HAS TO OFFER, IT IS SAFE TO SAY THAT SHE HAS GROWN TO BE ONE OF THE MOST PHENOMENAL ACTORS OVER THE DECADE SHE HAS SPENT IN THE SHOWBIZ INDUSTRY.

Carving her Own Path: HINA KHAN

Hina Khan occupies a rare space that only a few choose to ascend to bring something new to the table. From starring in the longest-running show in the Indian television industry 'Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai' to carving a niche for herself in OTT as well as films, Hina does not shy away from experimenting. She is no stranger to the noise that comes with being a public figure, and she is not the one to mince words. Bold, unapologetic, and fierce, she has been reckoned to time and again break the stigma attached to being a TV actor and making her place in the industry. We get into a conversation with the phenomenon called Hina Khan:

With no connections in the entertainment industry and a self-made woman, how did you land your first becoming audition?

My first audition was for 'Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai'. The production team had come to my college in Delhi and a friend of mine insisted I go and give the audition. It was not something I had planned on properly doing back then, and nor had I planned on giving the audition to get into acting. But life had different plans and I was selected. The very next day they flew me down to Mumbai to shoot. There has been no looking back since then. After 8 years of a glorious run on the show, doors have only opened to bigger and better opportunities every time.

How has the switch from television to films and the OTT platform been for you?
