When it comes to dealing with small spaces, some would call me an expert. The kids and I lived in a small condo on Staten Island for over 21 years before I made the move to Monroe Township, N.J. in 2020. The condo was so low on space, there was no attic, no basement and no garage. The kitchen was extremely small and raising my two kids in that condo was challenging to say the least. I needed to get creative in how I stored my belongings.
The good news was that there were three bedrooms, so each of us had our own room. I work out of the home and needed office space to add to the mix. I did not want to work out of my bedroom and creating an office space in the living area wasn’t ideal. But there was a spot on the first floor; while it was not ideal, it was quiet and it held a desk area in which I was able to house my files.
