Why did you originally decide to move to Hollywood?
3 words. To make movies. I love movies with all my heart so I wanted to go to the entertainment capital of the world and spend my life making films. I also enjoy a fastpaced city like Los Angeles to thrive because I need competition and challenges. They make me better. I plan on getting a second place in Austin, Texas soon though. I love that city and still have family there.
How has dating been like for you in a ‘crazy’ town like Hollywood?
Crazy is the right word. I’ve had almost every cliche experience. A much older guy try to impress me with a fancy car. A foreign guy tries to get married to get a green card. An alcoholic struggling actor who caused more drama off-screen than on. There’s a few more but I don’t like complaining so let’s just say I learned to stay away from the dating scene in LA, especially during the making of Cinema Rebel. I spent my time with my best friends.
Is dating harder or easier during and now after COVID-19?
As you can probably tell I don’t date much. I have a tight crew of best friends I’ve hung out with for years. One who drove out to Hollywood with me from Texas. Besides that, I’ve been working 12+ hour days the past 3 years making Cinema Rebel so I haven’t had much time for fun. Now that Cinema Rebel is finished and Covid is mostly behind us… ask me that question next year. I bet I’ll have a different answer for you.
