POP singer Cher has told how she did not know her real first name for decades.
She says that until she was in her 30s she was under the impression she was born Cherilyn Sarkisian.
In her new book, she reveals there was a mistake on her birth certificate and that her real name is Cheryl.
The 78-year-old says finding out the truth came as a shock.
