HOUGHT TO END ON A HIGH

RETIRING Hull captain Danny Houghton plays his final game today insisting the time is right - and FC will rise from "rock bottom" without him.

It is hard to imagine the Black and Whites without their talismanic hooker who has made 450 appearances for his hometown club.

Houghton enjoys iconic status with the Hull faithful, not least for his memorable input in helping them win at Wembley for the first time in 2016.

The former Man of Steel was also part of the side that retained the Challenge Cup 12 months later but -if fully recovered from a calf injury - steps out for the last time when Catalans visit this afternoon.
