A GRENFELL survivor says she is certain she would have died if she followed fire brigade advice to stay inside the blazing tower.
Emma O'Connor, who uses crutches as she suffers from arthritis and fluid in her knees, said she only got out after being curious about alarms ringing.
The 32-year-old spoke after London Fire Brigade chief Andy Roe admitted residents were told to stay in their flats for too long.
Emma escaped with the help of her partner before the tower was engulfed, but revealed she would have heeded 999 advice to "stay put" as firefighters tackled the blaze in West London.
She said: "I'd have listened, but I don't think my partner would have. If he wasn't there, I wouldn't be here, simple as that." Emma believes her neighbours who died in the fire would also have listened to the advice.
