KEMI Badenoch spoke out against a new football regulator after taking £1,360 of free tickets from the Premier League to see Ed Sheeran.
The top-tier football organising body is understood to oppose plans for an independent regulator, which would keep tabs on club finances.
Tory leadership candidate Ms Badenoch, who accepted gifts of three Sheeran concert tickets in June 2022, last week said: "We actually need fewer people in the public sector."
