A MUM faked her child's terminal cancer diagnosis to con £4,000 out of a charity set up in memory of a real victim of the disease.

After Morgan Ridler died of a rare liver cancer just days before his fourth birthday, his parents set up the Morgan's Army Charitable Foundation to help similar families.

But fraudster Charlotte Blackwell, 40, targeted the fund.

She lied to Morgan's mum Natalie Ridler, 33, that her child was receiving palliative care.
