A DAMNING report the Tories tried to bury reveals the racist roots of the Windrush scandal, which demonised victims.
The Home Office-commissioned Historical Roots of the Windrush Scandal, released yesterday, found immigration legislation in 1962, 1968 and 1971 aimed to "reduce the proportion of people living in the UK who did not have white skin".
It also said "immigration policy assumed that too many immigrants from a minority ethnic background were bad for society."
