Van der Sande also wants to repay manager Jim Goodwin and the United support for the faith they have shown him and is hoping to start that with a big performance against Brendan Rodgers' table toppers this evening.
Van der Sande said: "I wouldn't say it's been a tough time but I'm still looking for a goal and looking for more minutes.
"When I am up there (in attack), I work as hard as I can, and I want to have an impact for the team. If I do that, then I am satisfied.
