JORT VAN DER SANDE admits he's desperate to open his Dundee United account and knows there'd be no better way to do it than at Celtic Park.

The Bonaire international hitman moved to Tannadice in the summer from Den Bosch.

The 28-year-old has only scored for his country this season and it is something he is keen to replicate domestically.

Van der Sande also wants to repay manager Jim Goodwin and the United support for the faith they have shown him and is hoping to start that with a big performance against Brendan Rodgers' table toppers this evening.

Van der Sande said: "I wouldn't say it's been a tough time but I'm still looking for a goal and looking for more minutes.

"When I am up there (in attack), I work as hard as I can, and I want to have an impact for the team. If I do that, then I am satisfied.
