PROTECT OUR KIDS

KIDS campaigners have demanded action after the horrific murder of a 15-year-old schoolboy.
Teenager Amen Teklay suffered fatal stab wounds after a violent incident near Glasgow city centre on Wednesday.
Police have not ruled out that the crime may have been racially aggravated.
Youth violence campaigners have been left devastated by the latest death, with campaigner Vicky Donald asking: "How can this be allowed to happen again?" Amen's death comes amid the Record's Our Kids... Our Future campaign which has highlighted an epidemic of violent attacks on kids sweeping the country.
As part of the campaign, we have repeatedly called on the Scottish Government to ringfence funding to invest in communities for better measures to keep children safe from harm.
In June last year, 16-year-old Kory McCrimmon died in hospital after he was murdered in Glasgow's east end.
Justin McLaughlin, 14, died from a single stab wound to the heart after a senseless attack at Glasgow's High Street train station in October 2021.
Vicky has fought for action to tackle the issue of violent attacks on kids since her daughter Kaylynn was brutally battered on a school bus.
She told the Record: "Amen had his whole life ahead of him and now that has been cut short. "I'm sick to my stomach and I'm devastated for his family.
