RORY McILROY dubbed his day one assault on the Houston Open 'pedestrian' after only heating up once dumping the waterproofs.
The Northern Irishman was never under par for his round, having started on the 10th at Memorial Park.
A birdie four on Mcllroy's penultimate hole got him back to level par, which is where he stayed with a 70.
The world No.2, gearing up for his latest crack at completing the Grand Slam at the Masters, said: “A little pedestrian, I guess is a good way to describe it.
