Bookies going with head instead of heart for Scottish Cup clashes

SPIDEY SENSE

QUEEN'S PARK are out to cause another Scottish Cup upset today at Pittodrie but the bookies don’t fancy their chances of claiming another top-flight scalp.

The Spiders stunned Rangers 2-1 in the last round, causing the biggest shock at Ibrox since one of the directors asked: “Alexa, how long does a shipment of steel from China take to arrive in Glasgow?”

Having dumped Rangers in their own back yard, Callum Davidson's men won't be scared of a long trip up north to face a Dons side who still look a bit vulnerable.

But Sunday's late comeback to pinch a 2-2 draw with Dundee United made it just one defeat in five games for Jimmy Thelin’s men, with that loss coming at Celtic Park.

Aberdeen also beat second-tier Dunfermline 3-0 at home in the last round of the Cup so that’s why McBookie make them 2/5 hot favourites for a win in 90 minutes today.
