ANTHONY WATSON is out of England’s World Cup campaign as their pre-tournament crisis escalated.

Watson injured his calf in last Saturday’s defeat to Ireland to deliver head coach Steve Borthwick another body blow.

And to cap a nightmare week, Elliot Daly has emerged as a doubt for the tournament due to a knee injury from the same game.

Jonny May, not currently in the World Cup squad, has now been named in the starting line-up for tomorrow’s Twickenham clash with Fiji and is favourite to take Watson’s spot in France.
