BEN DUCKETT is a man on a mission today, anxious to prove he can transfer his spectacular Test form onto the one-day stage.

Duckett, one of the most feared red-ball batters in the world, hopes to explode into action at his home Nottingham ground to show he can be a success in any format of cricket.

He’s also relishing the chance to renew his batting partnership with Zak Crawley – even if it’s in the middle order rather than opening the innings in the longer format game.

Crawley is leading the side while Duckett (above) is vice-captain, with England fielding an experimental side against Ireland.
