BRITS are shunning soap and are smellier than they were five years ago.
Sales of soap bars have slumped by 15% and liquid soap numbers have also dropped by 13% since 2019.
The amount of shampoo bottles flogged in the same fiveyear time period - 2018/19 compared to 2023/24 - is down 10%. And toothpaste sales fell by 4% in that time.
