The 73-year-old Born To Run legend was expected to perform with the E Street Band at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia on August 16 and 18 but has had to move the concerts.
His official Twitter account said that he was "taken ill" and his team is urging fans to hold on to their tickets for access to the rescheduled dates.
In March, Bruce postponed a concert at the Nationwide Arena in Ohio over unspecified health concerns.
