DANIEL RICCIARDO has been axed by Red Bull and replaced by Liam Lawson with immediate effect.
Ricciardo, 35, looked emotional after he finished 18th at the Singapore Grand Prix last week amid rumours it could be his final F1 race.
The Australian driver has struggled with the Visa Cash App RB, picking up just 12 points this season and being outdriven by team-mate Yuki Tsunoda.
Now Red Bull have confirmed he will be leaving the team as paid tribute to they Ricciardo-calling him a "true gentleman".
