'41C temps will cause widespread fatalities by end of the century'

BRITAIN will be a hotbed of killer heatwaves by 2100.

Scientists warn life-threatening temperatures hitting 40C will be three to 10 times more common by the end of the century.

They predict that by summer 2080 the mercury will hit 41C in London, 38C in Manchester and 35C in Glasgow at least once a week.
