KOP goal king Mo Salah would struggle in this current Tottenham side, claims Ange Postecoglou.
Spurs host Salah and Liverpool in the first leg of their Carabao Cup semi-final tonight with up to 10 players still sidelined.
Boss Postecoglou yesterday revealed that out-of-form captain Heung-min Son's contract has been extended by a year.
Son, 32, has scored just five league goals this season, but his manager claimed even the prolific Salah with 18 to his name - would struggle in the same circumstances.
Backing the South Korean to emerge from a tough run of form, Postecoglou said: "Mo is a world-class player but if you put him in our team now, I'm not sure he'll have that same level of performance because of the situation we're in as a group.
