<p>Two UK aid workers managed to leave the territory on Wednesday, but around 200 British nationals were facing an anxious wait for permission to make the journey to safety.</p>
<p>The Foreign Office said more UK nationals were able to cross into Egypt yesterday, but declined to say how many.</p>
<p>A statement said: &ldquo;We continue to work with Egyptian and Israeli authorities to support all those seeking to leave.&rdquo;</p>
<p>Labour frontbencher Jess Phillips warned Britons were not getting out quickly enough, arguing that the Government&rsquo;s diplomatic efforts did not seem to have &ldquo;much sway&rdquo;.</p>
