BOFFINS are urging people to dance in their gardens to save worms from wipeout.

The Soil Association is trying to map the UK's population of the wrigglers in order to track their decline.

The eggheads are calling on homeowners to become "worm charmers" and dance on their lawns and soil to draw the critters to the surface so they can be counted.
