MIKEL ARTETA will defend himself against an FA charge with a growing feeling that Arsenal are being singled out.

Gunners boss Arteta has until today to respond following his post-match rant after Arsenal’s defeat at Newcastle earlier this month.

Arteta branded the VAR decision not to rule out Anthony Gordon’s goal in his side’s 1-0 loss “an absolute disgrace” and “embarrassing”.

It is almost certain that the Spanish coach will be given a personal hearing within the next 10 days at which he could be hit with a touchline ban or heavy punishment.

But that comes despite Brighton boss Roberto De Zerbi escaping any punishment for admitting he dislikes “80 percent of England’s referees” after his team drew with Sheffield United.
