FRIENDS of a British shark victim have been praised for "battling" the predator, possibly saving the man's life.
Peter Smith, 64, was left with extensive injuries after Friday's attack and he remains in a Tobago hospital. And his wife Jo singled out their holiday pals who stayed in the water to beat the 10ft bull shark away.
