IT JUST HAD TO BE ROO!

MANCHESTER United twice let a lead slip to surrender all three points to Copenhagen on a dramatic night of Champions League action.

Just four days after Bruno Fernandes had rescued United's spiralling season with a late winner against Fulham, their European hopes were punctured in the Danish capital.

Rasmus Hojlund's two first-half strikes had given the Red Devils a huge foundation but a 42nd-minute red card for Marcus Rashford saw Copenhagen energised and they charged back to level terms before the break. A Fernandes penalty saw United retake the lead but the 10 men failed to hang on under huge pressure from the Danish champions.

The hosts scored twice in the last 10 minutes through Lukas Lerager and Roony Bardghji.
