Giant honour as Robinson lands top job

FAN favourite Luke Robinson is "beyond honoured" to be the new Huddersfield head coach.

The ex-England scrum-half, who made more than 200 appearances for the West Yorkshire club, has been appointed on a three-year deal.

Robinson had been in interim charge and racked up two wins in eight outings since Ian Watson was sacked in July, but has now earned the role on a permanent basis.

The 40-year-old, whose ninth-placed side host London on Sunday, said: "I am beyond honoured to have been offered the head coach role and to have the support of Ken Davy and the rest of the board.
