"The females are surprising super-mums. In winter&nbsp;they are busy tending to dozens of little bright yellow eggs, diligently them and cleaning them.
C'mon, what's not to love!" turning host Strachan, 57, will be back on BBC Two to Winterwatch, on January 16 with Chris Packham, Gillian Burke and Iolo Williams.
