<p><strong>POLITICIANS have failed wildlife in a &ldquo;national embarrassment&rdquo; that has left Britain in a &ldquo;last-stand fight for life on Earth&rdquo;, says Chris Packham. </strong></p>
<p>The TV god and naturalist blasted MPs for failing to protect our animals, plants and habitats.</p>
<p>Packham, 63, said: &ldquo;Species from the smallest bee and butterfly to the largest dolphin and whale are in trouble in the UK. The lack of action for nature from UK politicians of all parties is a national&nbsp;embarrassment and is set to leave future generations paying the price.&rdquo; UK species have declined 19% since the 70s with one in six at risk of extinction, last year&rsquo;s State Of Nature report said.</p>
