David gets a World Cup nod as Jofra returns to fold
DEAN WILSON

DAVID WILLEY has been told he is going to the World Cup - but will take nothing for granted until he's boarding the plane to India.

Despite England white-ball head. coach Matthew Mott calling Willey to give him the good news, the all-rounder understandably has some trust issues where England and World Cups are concerned.

He came within a whisker of being a part of the 2019 World Cup party until Jofra Archer was parachuted into the squad at the 11th hour.

Willey understands why the change was made but that didn't make it any easier to take, especially when the team you had such a big part in building goes on to lift the trophy.
