THE OUTGOING GOVERNOR of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), Shaktikanta Das, said on Tuesday that restoring the inflation-growth balance is the most important task ahead for the central bank.

Addressing a press conference on his last day as the governor, Das emphasized that the RBI should focus on staying agile amid evolving geopolitical dynamics, tackling cybersecurity challenges and leveraging technology.

"Restoring the inflation-growth balance is the most important task ahead of the Reserve Bank and I am sure the team RBI under the leadership of the new governor will take it forward," Das said during the interaction with journalists at the RBI headquarters.
