WORLD CUP WARM-UP FRIENDLY

BAYONNE, SATURDAY, KO 8PM

DAN SHEEHAN will travel to the World Cup after receiving positive news about the foot injury he suffered in the warm-up against England.

There is relief within Andy Farrell's Ireland set-up that the Leinster star has not suffered serious damage and is set to return to action in a matter of weeks rather than months.

Sheehan, 24, is a first-choice hooker and was forced to come off before half-time at the Aviva Stadium, with Farrell later revealing that he had "lost power in his foot".
