A PLYMOUTH businessman who has undertaken multiple aid missions to Ukraine said he won’t be going on the latest trip as he has been targeted by pro-Russian threats made over social media.
Andreas Evangelou, whose daughters also run the Cosmic Kitchen restaurant in the city, said he has been on the receiving end of chilling threats on Facebook.
Mr Evangelou is still spearheading another aid convoy which is travelling to Ukraine on April 9, with two 4x4 vehicles each pulling a caravan loaded with supplies.
But his place will be taken by a photographer who wants to follow his footsteps through Ukraine and document the ongoing fight against Russian invaders.
He told The Herald: "I will do another one in the future but I won't do this one as I was put off by some pro-Russian _ threats online via Facebook.
“Sadly my registration number of my car is visible in my photographs, I’ve mentioned the club I work in, I’ve mentioned my daughters’ restaurant and I’ve exposed myself a bit too much.
