A PLYMOUTH dad who’s overcome health issues against the odds after a serious vehicle accident now wants to make a long term dream true.
Joseph Young is now looking to transform the ‘man and van’ (or ‘woman and van’) experience for customers and “make it fairer” for drivers. The 51-year-old had a serious vehicle accident while he was delivering goods as a van driver and couldn’t return to a physical job for a time.
The British Army veteran joined the forces when he was just 15 years old, after being a “bit of a tearaway” as a teen. He then spent nine years stationed abroad, before transitioning back to civilian life.
Joseph then worked a variety of jobs to support his family, but a lifechanging vehicle accident left him wheelchair bound when he was 38 years old.
