PLANS to demolish a series of derelict buildings and replace them with a flat and a convenience store have been unveiled.
The scheme would see the existing Co-op in Elburton relocate as a result of the plans.
The existing store is no longer fit for purpose and provides a limited offering to the community, a planning statement with the application says. It adds: “Due to the small size of the store, it lacks sufficient shelf space, which limits the product ranges that can be offered to customers. Therefore, trade is leaking to larger shops and stores in other local centres within the wider area.”
