VENUES across Plymouth have been helping to celebrate Christmas while also raising money, by hosting the NSPCC's Festival of Trees.
The children's charity has been welcomed by new venues for the fundraising event this year with local businesses, clubs and organisations sponsoring and decorating trees which are on display at Plymouth Argyle's Home Park Stadium, The National Marine Aquarium, Plymouth Pavilions and Ocean Studios.
Last week the Lord Mayor of Plymouth, Councillor Tina Tuohy, was given a tour of the National Marine Aquarium by Ian McFadzen, CEO of the Ocean Conservation Trust, to see the many trees which have been decorated and placed around the venue.
She was asked to select her three favourites from the trees which are at the aquarium and picked out the tree decorated by King's School & Nursery as her favourite followed by trees by Soul Singers and Plymouth Golf Centre.
