Garry May’s side enjoyed a superb 46-44 win against the Pirates last week, which was their first victory of the season, thanks significant contributions from from captain Kyle Howarth (13+1), 12+2 from Paul Starke and 10+1 from the ever-popular Ben Barker.
In fact, all six riders contributed to the Gladiators’ win which was achieved in the absence of Richie Worrall, who rode in the FIM European Championship qualifying round at Terenzano in Italy, finishing ninth out of 17 riders with a total of eight points.
Tonight, Worrall will be back at number two for a full-strength Gladiators line-up that will be looking to build on that fine win against the Pirates.
“It was a great performance by the lads against Poole last week, considering Richie was missing,” May said. “It was also good to see Jake (Turner) get his first win, long may it continue.
“We now have league points up for grabs, so we must continue last week’s performance against the Scorpions on Tuesday.”
