We've had fights to avoid relegation, fights for promotion, COVID, energy crisis, inflation, recession woes and anything else the economy/mother nature has decided to throw at us!
After a pretty poor season last year, both on and off the field, am grateful to say that this season has been more plain sailing. Through the good times and the tough times, however, we have stood strong together as a family and fought many metaphorical fires. That’s not without the help of our extended Albion family; supporters, sponsors and members of the on field and off field teams. Without them, we wouldn’t have got through it.
Last Saturday was a fabulous day at Brickfields, the sun shone, and the boys were on fire during the high scoring game that I promised we would have in my last column. Saturday saw the boys scoring five tries to Birmingham’s four, and therefore clinching the all-important bonus point win. We now sit fifth in the league table, a far cry from last season where we were fighting to stay up in the league.
