The South Devon Food Hub was formally launched at Longcombe Valley, near Totnes, last week, and is designed as a centre for the region’s artisan food and drink producers. Two businesses have already moved into the hub – Devon Distillery and Orchard Drinks – while Sharpham Cheese has plans to move in early next year once its unit is fully operational.
There are also plans for the hub to be an educational centre, with children and young people invited to see how food grows and how it is turned into the produce they buy in shops.
