THE welcoming smell of roast dinners wafts along Manor Street, in Stonehouse - and those who are facing tough times are getting both a good and freshly cooked meal but also some company.
The community project, Fullhrh Feeding the Unfortunate, Lost, Lonely, Hungry, Rough-sleepers and Homeless - has been running for over ten years. Organisers estimate having cooked up over 5,000 meals for the needy over the last decade.
Fullhrh is not just for homeless people or those sleeping rough. Some people attending have lost their job and found themselves unable to balance the current high cost of living, as we found when we went along to see the work they are doing.
The food is currently mainly provided by organiser, ex-military submariner, Andrew Metcalf, and other team members, Jonathan Daniels and Darrel Chapman, and is paid for with their own money as they strive to give something back to society.
