A MAN from Plymstock has spoken of his incredible weight loss journey after being nominated for a national Biggest Loser award.
Nathan Perez, 31, lost 14 stone after responding to an advert for an unconventional weight-loss programme on social media and says he would “never go back”.
The incredible transformation through MAN V FAT has changed Nathan’s life “massively”, not only helping him lose weight, but also enabling him to play a sport he loves and make new friends along the way.
The program, for men with a BMI of 27.50 or more, combines football with weight-loss to compete for both on the pitch and on the scales. Over the course of his time with the programme, Nathan went from 29.5 stone to 15.5 stone, a drop of around 14 stone. He told The Herald he saw a huge bloom in confidence following the program and that “nothing is off limits” anymore.
“I have nieces and nephews and losing the weight has definitely made a difference playing with them, as well as life in general,” Nathan said. “I’m happier and healthier and able to do things I just wasn’t able to do before.
