Paris Cooper opened Elsie Bootique Artisan Wax Melts in Southside Street, on the Barbican, after launching the venture in Plymouth Market.
But she has now shut the store and will run the business online only. In a message on Facebook the 31-yearold said running the business has taken a toll on her health.
She wrote: “After the madness of Christmas, it was clear to me and those close to me that I was doing too much and taking too much stress on myself, trying to do every single little thing in the business to make the most of the busy Christmas season and to be really honest with you, it wasn’t worth the stress I put on myself.
