TO help Santa prepare for his big night tonight, Plymouth primary schoolchildren have been dashing and prancing around their playgrounds for St Luke's Hospice Plymouth's brand new Rudolph Run and having plenty of festive fun at the same time.
Schools from across the city and the surrounding area took part in the event, with children encouraged to get sponsorship from family members. More than £3,000 has been raised so far enough for St Luke's to provide a package of care at home for at least three families.
At Holy Cross Catholic Primary School in St Judes, the fun run saw nearly 300 pupils and 28 members of staff running through Beaumont Park. Everyone was wearing a pair of reindeer antlers they decorated themselves ahead of the event.
