PLANS to convert part of the Grade II listed former Plymouth Arts Centre building have been unveiled. The scheme looks to extend the existing self-contained flat, provide an additional self-contained flat and retain a commercial function.
It follows the decision last year of Plymouth City Council’s planning committee rejecting a proposal to convert the building into an 11-bed HMO house in multi-occupation). At the time, councillors were concerned about the size of rooms, parking issues, a lack of outside space, and whether the application could lead to the property becoming an AirBnB or used for short term holiday lets.
