MEET the 72-year-old Plymouth student who's proving it's never too late to follow your dreams. Tony Miller had a "horrible" school experience but is now in his second year of studying for a degree.
After leaving school with no qualifications Tony went to work at the dockyard in his native Portsmouth for 14 years, followed by 12 in Plymouth. He followed this with building railway signal systems, but says he always had a love of reading, especially around history and heritage.
Tony had a family with his late wife Lyn and the couple lived happily for 47 years. After her death he says he didn't know what to do next - until the Covid pandemic spurred him on to pursue his passions.
