Shah holds key meet as Manipur simmers

Union home minister Amit Shah on Sunday cancelled his campaign in poll-bound Maharashtra and rushed to Delhi to hold a high-level review meeting on the fresh violence in Manipur.

Sources said Shah sat down with senior officials to take stock of the situation, and directed them to take all possible measures to bring back normalcy in the strife-torn state.

It is learnt that Shah has called another meeting on Monday for a detailed discussion on the state's law and order situation in the northeastern state.
