Tories blasted as 100s of schools still don't know if they have dodgy concrete

THE Tories have left 612 schools in the dark on whether they are at risk from crumbling concrete after failing to hit a target of wrapping up their "emergency response" by Christmas.

Last week, 17 more schools were added to the list of sites built with cheap reinforced autoclaved aerated concrete (RAAC) - a bubbly type of concrete that can collapse if it gets wet - bringing the total to 231.
