Staff shortages blamed for NHS blood donor fail

A SHORTAGE of blood donors is being blamed on the lack of NHS staff.

Last year, 14,000 fewer people gave blood than before the pandemic.

Bosses say staff shortages caused by "unfilled vacancies, donor and staff illness in the winter months and industrial action" are to blame.
