Hyderabad: Despite multiple crackdowns and court orders, the illegal parking menace continues to haunt residents across Hyderabad. When TOI recently took a tour around the city, it found several arterial roads and bylanes flooded with two and four-wheelers, parked arbitrarily, turning them into a nightmare for commuters and pedestrians.
Worse, in busy areas such as Ameerpet, Kukatpally, JNTU and Begumpet, it has created bottlenecks throwing traffic out of gear.
The situation is particularly bad in places where the Strategic Nala Development Programme (SNDP) and Strategic Road Development Programme (SRDP) works are on.
Several cars, vans and even ambulances are seen parked right next to the 'tow zone' signage opposite KIMS Hospital on Minister Road.
