Hyderabad: In a time of financial crisis, Telangana earned Rs 3,982 crore as GST income in May, ranking eighth among states in terms of numbers. But overall it was fourth from bottom in growth percentage over the same month last year.
While India's overall growth rate was 44% for May, Telangana grew by 33%, bringing up the rear with only Jharkhand (22%), Odisha (22%) and Chhattisgarh (24%) below it.
